Dance without pain

The word somatic comes from the Greek word soma, which means "the living body".

As tango dancers, we know that tango is like life. In tango, just like in life, it is important to have trust. To dare to go with our intentions. To be fully present knowing that in every step it can take a completely new direction. To listen to ourselves and each other, because you know: it takes two to tango.

When we live with tension and stress, it largely affects ourselves but also everyone we meet. My dream is to be able to meet on the tango floor - and in life - with our whole selves. To use the amount of tension that is needed on any given occasion, no more and no less.

Here I have collected the methods and approaches that have been the most effective in my own life and in my professional practice as a body therapist and as a dancer. I hope they will be helpful to you as well.

Welcome in to look around.

Calendar/Events

Do you want to take care of your body so you can keep dancing? Maybe you want to delve into the anatomy of the tango to better adapt your movements based on your body and your individual conditions? I give workshops on various themes. Take a look and be inspired.

Somatic movement, Awareness through movement, embodiment and Feldenkrais Method Workshop.

Somatic Movement

Carefully guided, slow movements that aim to release unconscious muscle tension and movement patterns that do not benefit you. Somatic Movement is calming for the nervous system and can also be described as meditation in motion.

Somatic Tango

A tango that is sustainable and based on your body's individual anatomical conditions. We explore how to be relaxed in your own body and with the one you dance with and to easily recruit more muscle tension when you want to make more dynamic movements in your tango.
